since the last OS upgrade (10.4.8) you can easily zoom in on the cursor area by holding the CTRL key and using the scroll function of your track pad (ie. using two fingers to move forwards and backwards).

From what I could gather on the net, Apple’s technology Rosetta, which allows to run applications coded for PowerPC architecture on an Intel Mac is not a development of their own but an implementation of the product QuickTransit from Transitive.

Gestures for touch sensitive input devices- looks very much like a GUI for a tablet with a touch sensitive screen. Clearly, there are lots of example of prior art but Apple has put a lot of thought into this and hopefully it is a glimpse of a future product.
