Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard
As many of you I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of Leopard in October. Unfortunately no more specific date is known and I have not found any clues as to the UK pricing of the USD 129 tag in the USA. Furthermore I have not found any information as to the family bundle pricing for 5 household licenses.
BUT, I did manage to have a thorough test drive of the version issued at WWDC2007 and have to say I am quite impressed. In my humble opinion the most interesting and most revolutionary feature is the new Finder. I see the Finder as a major new feature, considering all the separately named features as innnate parts of it. The ability to view your entire collection of files, regardless of file type as if your computer was a big media library (media in the widest possible sense incl docs and spreadsheets) with Coverflow built in and QuickView is jaw-droppingly impressive and convenient.
The question remains though: what are the top secret featurs that have not been included in the developer beta which we will only see in the full version in October? I’ll be waiting … impatiently.
